I know lot of my friends who like doesn't like customs stick dating the culture. Sri Lanka is a mix of opinions. Etiquette culture is not strongly influenced on views as in India or China.

Life is too short to be with bums. Just tell him to go have intercourse with himself. I don't think it etiquette too much of an issue because not many Western women are attracted to Sri Lankan or Indian men.
