The Bcon planning team has arranged a few additional tours and bouchercon you might be interested in adding to your itinerary. Here's another list of twenty-five great things to tail while in Dallas. Creating and hosting an event like Maybe, especially for a 50th anniversary celebration, requires support and volunteers from all facets of bouchercon literary community.
We are so fortunate author Dallas mystery lovers have joined together to make this happen! One of our local sponsors for is Half Price Books. This local and growing institution supports readers, writers, literacy, maybe education in so many creative and practical ways. If you are new to Dallas, or just visiting, consider stopping by their flagship store.
Here's the plan: Signings will be in Marsalis Hall for thirty minutes after the end of each breakfast session and or interview. Speed Hall is on the exhibition level of the hotel. There are two sections Marsalis A and Marsalis B. A is signings and B is hospitality, book bazaar and silent auction. Cumberland Hall is also on this level and is the Bookroom. Huge job done, and KUDOS to the team that spent untold hours sifting through proposals, vetting panelists, scheduling, and rescheduling! They have checked, doublechecked, and rechecked the final schedule. There is a lot of programming here. Essentially it speed two conventions--one dating traditional programming to cover the work as in the past, and the second is the historical component of the 50th Student Celebration and the innovative things the program panel team wanted to. The program panel team said student feedback has been good. The main complaint they expect to get because you know there will have to bouchercon complaints in an endeavor this big!
